We have been following the viticulture and winemaking styles in this region for a while and finally had the chance to make a project there with a great team of people.

Taking inspiration from ancient stonework previously used for winemaking, we reimagined the ritual of crushing grapes, forming part of the rich cultural identity for the label.

Beira Interior

Abrigados expresses the very best of Beira Interior, Portugal’s highest altitude wine region. Indirectly translating as ‘Sheltered’, the concept captures the essence of this remote area and its people.

Past the Douro valley and sitting on the border with Spain, old vineyards are farmed organically preserving this untouched hinterland of beauty.
